A very underrated gem I found while scouring the net for great game. It's an adventure game with traces of creepyness and survival-ish in it. The story is nothing to brag about. It's about two B****es named Lexie and her friend who brought timid Erica to enter a haunted mansion. On the front porch, they pushed Erica inside the mansion and boarded the door from the outside. Talk about bullies. 

So, you play as Erica trying to find another way out aside from the front door (armed with only a flashlight) and you soon will discover you were never alone.

There's tons of things that can be done in this game. There tons of puzzles, tons of locked doors you need to unlock, tons of keys to find, variety of weapons to find and use in puzzle (like Crowbar to pry ventilation open), monster to fight, collecting coins to buy items, notes to read and tons of surviving.

The most unique thing in this game is the battle system. It's like slide or tap when prompts appear (like the screen above) everytime you tapped or slide correctly, you deal damages to enemies. You missed and the enemies deals damage to you. That's why I don't recommend you to play this when you're sleepy, you'll miss alot of prompts and probably will die.

Then if your HP has been damaged, you can use health items to restore HP. The most healing items in this game that I see is Biscuits. Yum.

All in all, this is a very addictive game. Puzzle is not too hard nor too easy. Unique battle system I've never seen before. Although, the characterisation of Erica doesn't fit at times. Example, at the beginning, she stuttered alot when she sees a creepy mansion but slightly in the middle of the game, she's bold. Sometimes sarcastic. So Erica comes out cartoon-ish. Just me though. 

And the intro could be much more better rather than pinning the whole game premise on two evil bullies. Because if I was Erica, I definitely would never follow two evil bullies like that. Definitely no way.

This is the horror game that I've been waiting for Android platform for a long, long time. With a size of around 1GB storage, it boasts super creepy atmosphere, a lot of darkness and beautiful console-like graphic (Think Silent Hill) This one terrifies me because it doesn't give you much time to NOT feel terrified. And the stupid dolls made sure of that.

The Story : You're Rose Hawkins, an investigator that had come to New Vineyard Asylum to search for a girl named Eden. Somehow you got bludgeoned near-to-death and got Amnesiac. You're suddenly in creepy areas with tons of Mannequins just standing around (And I swear that everytime I moved, they moved too.) It's creepy. You just have to find a way out of the asylum and find out what really happened to the patients that goes missing inside it. Or how the place turned so hellishly scary.

BUT there's combat system integrated into the game. It's aim and shoot. The ones I found for now are rusty pipes and a revolver BUT don't expect to be so rewarded in the AMMO section. It's scarce. Of course, more weapons will be more introduced later in the game. It's creepy and scared me that I've restarted the game 4+ times before going to see the game's walkthroughs on YouTube and only by then I can play it without feeling too terrified and quitting. (And for those of you who don't know, I'm a big scaredy 🐈)

And you will often see mannequins that are in one place and when you turned around they will disappear.

Everybody should've know this infamous game by now. It's a horror game developed NOT FOR  THE THE FAINT OF HEART. IF you have any heart attack or something, I suggest you don't play this game because it's filled with Jumpscare (A scare that works by having things appear on the screen so sudden). Heart attack patients kindly stay away from this. Not joking. Seriously.

Ok. My personal experience is that I canNOT pass more than night #2. And I tell why further on.

The game's premise is simple. You're a security guard at Freddy Fazbear (a local pizzeria with Animatraonics that are used to perform shows for children during daylight) and these animatronics are alive at night. 

Your job is monitor the building in the main office area from 12AM to 6AM for five nights with a limited power source 💯% using Flashlight, Security Cams, 2 metal vent electrical door with lights to prevent these dastard creatures from reaching you and killing you and then stuffing you INSIDE an animatronic doll and become like them. Easy right? Nope. There's 4 DOLLS you need to keep in-check on the cams and they all moves differently.

If one of them disappeared from cam you can guess they're next to you xD. Or if power reaches 0% the game is definitely over. This is basically why I died so many times, couldn't check them all fast enough lol.

Who would have thought that surviving through a freaking visual novel game could be so hard? Lemme tell you about a funfact when I played this game Episode 1 : I died dozen of times (no joke). If not in New America then on Redemption with Nyx if not then on encounter with black Raven. If not then died out of oxygen when in space. More than a dozen of times. It sucks but made me proud when I survived through the first one.

Now the Little Baby had a 2nd chapter and I know I'm going to die a lot. And I did -.- I died from beast encounter then 5 more times during the Queen sometimes after the desert. It's hard and your choices really does matter. Skeptic? Try it then. I heard a lot about the game, mostly from LP (Let's Play) that claimed it was scary, mainly its jumpscares. Due to the scaredy-cat that I am, I hesitated playing the game itself because... Well, let's just say colorful and nice words came out of my mouth whenever something flew at my face. (Slendrina Cellar -.-) and 2nd, I don't want a heart attack just because a freaking horror game throw jumpscares at me. I'm a faint-hearted individual who can't even finish a quarters of a horror game. But I did anyway. So I'll relay what I understood at beginning.

You woke up in a bathroom, lightings dimmed with the door out of the bathroom locked tight. Then the cliché who am I, Where Am I. You have to try discover who you are and how you get in a strange house.  And when exploring the house, you may see lots of things that you may think is a trick of light or your shadow but you will be wrong.

The story is quite a simple one. You've been sent to investigate a mental hospital for money but everything goes wrong as you get chased until you finally got trapped in the hospital you was supposed to investigate with dozens of corpse littering its white floor. The worse fact? Something seems to hunt you slowly. You need to hide from it whilst searching for a way out. Can you survive from the creature that seeks your doom?

To be frank, the game's premise is the usual tropes reused again and again which is trapped in a 'Hospital' while being chased by something etc. RE3 and REOutbreak or go to play store and type Hospital Horror game and there'd be TONS. Especially the Horror Hospital game. Even though the story is nothing original, there still are good aspects of the game.

What I mean by the 'good aspects' are the graphics and the movements. The graphics are modelled 3D alright and it does its job well in conveying the state of disarray that had befallen the Mental Hospital resulting in a creepy, dark atmosphere (when night vision is turned off). However, when night vision is on, everything is layered in shades of green which make everything see-able but also making your hunter's job easier.

All in all, it's a good game that lacked an original storyline that are more enganging (for me). But then again, it's hard to come by an original idea becuz the whole world are already filled with original ideas that makes it so hard to come by a new one. Seriously, I don't blame the developers at all.

Machinarium has a certain aethestic feel to it. And the gameplay is notable considering it combines 'Point N Click', 'Platformer' and 'Puzzle' all in one which makes for an interesting game. The story is a warm one XD. He wants to save his Girlfriend who'd been kidnapped, starting from a dump place. The puzzle is clever, and Idk if it's me that sucks in puzzle genre but the puzzle is too clever that I got stuck at the 3RD level which is the screenshot above. 

Another thing, it provides only 1 hint per level and the fact that every level had more than 1 sequences meaning you have to restart level if you messed up or or get the book of walkthrough by completing mini games. But I don't want to use the book of walkthrough -.- It's actually like cheating I guess. It's an interesting game, really. No wonder it gets such a high rating in google playstore.

S7V7N MYSTERIES is exactly what the name implies. It tells the tale of a group of students divided into chapters (Which you take control) that are on the school grounds after hour to make sure the school are safe. In return, the principal gives cash. Even though there's rumor about the school haunted, they was sceptical and so they did what was asked. The story is narrated by one of the seven characters named Nathan, like he's telling a story face to face with you. In the story, all of them faced strange things.

Here's the thing. It's a topdown view game made with the RPG Maker VX Ace. It's actually kind of creepy and immersive atmosphere that made me double take everytime I do something. But the greatest aspect of this game IMHO, is the narrative (because the game is plot driven) + the 7 stories that were told intertwined with each other, giving bits and pieces in each chapter so you could get the big picture. It's an awesome concept. It's not really survival horror but more like a horror story kind of game. It doesn't really impacted my enjoyment though. I think it's a great game.

This is the game that had came straight out off the arcade machines. I was so excited and my excitement was met with this and I'm so happy. This game was pure arcade. There is no story plot (arcade mode)  or in any mode at all. There's just punches, kicks, flying and fire and... Magic.  XD. There's multiplayer mode. But uses Bluetooth as connection. It's a good port. This game bring so much NOSTALGIA of the time how I smashed the arcade machines button so I won't get KO'd in a fight. Now I can play for as long as I want. And you can too.

 

Even without storyline, it is still amazing. Partly because it has 28 characters total with 10+ movesets each. I'm like 'I have to try all of them!' Lucky the game is a 3v3, meaning you have to pick 3 fighters per run. And then there's training mode for trying fighters. The only thing I'm disappointed in is the multiplayer mode. If they could implement online (not bluetooth) I'd jump up and down with joy lol. It's okay though. Because I still manages to play it for one hour and more. Because it's fun with its neat old - school graphic which is a treat to my eyes. Oh my favourite fighter is of course the Fan Goddess - MAI SHIRANUI XD. If only this game have online functionality, I would show you all how terrible I am at KoF.

He wanted you to discover what he's trying to tell specifically to you (so wrong people won't crack his greatest secret) XD I know it sounds cheezy written by me. LDV hid his secret deep in scrolls and puzzles. So get digging for his greatest secret now!!! (And BTW, I dare you to finish the first area without walkthrough or hints xD or the entire game) or not xD.

Even through the title screen, I can tell that the game has top-notch graphic xD. Wait till you get to the gameplay part filled with great puzzles that will make your mind spin (NO KIDDING) I got stuck on the freaking 1st area (the house door) SRSLY. If it didn't gave me hints, I would've been tapping every inches of the screen for solution. Okay. That's my rant lol. On the game, Its not your regular Hidden Object game. That's for sure. It's more like puzzle solver game. Where you get usable items on sight (no need for Hidden Object scene from what I have seen.) And the puzzles are seriously fun, despite being terribly difficult at times. The game is a must play. Seriously. I'm easily bored by HO games. But this one is a rare gem. :P. You need to see its glory. Oh... and the huge game size? It will worth it xD (Well it did for me anyway. Not sure for you though.)

But  for me the puzzles are clever, the graphic and ambiance are fitting. The storyline is interesting and piqued my interest. I mean the game got me asking 'Why would Leonardo DaVinci want to hide the device so much? Why would he go to that length to prevent people from getting it?' It's very mysterious.
